English Teaching

Resource of task 2

My high school teacher
Esperanza Ruiz
- What teaching methods did they use? His method was with a master class, repetition of written and verbal words and group work using the dictionary to translate texts and answer questions.
How did you involve students in the learning process? He used to evaluate individually and do group work, his explanations were group-based.
- Were they strict or soft in terms of discipline and tasks?
It was very strict and conveyed a feeling of fear.
- Did they encourage creativity and critical thinking?
When we had to answer reading comprehension questions, the answers should be justified.
- What stands out about your approach to teaching English?
I think there was no methodology in which we students had the confidence to express our learning.
as strengths
Time was dedicated to doing work, the use of the dictionary was encouraged.
as weaknesses
There was a lack of dynamism and interaction, dialogue and pronunciation.
Think about how your teaching affected your learning experience:
- What aspects of your teaching helped you most to improve your English skills?
Regarding his teaching, I learned vocabulary using the dictionary
- What challenges did you face under your direction?
It was very traumatic to try to pronounce correctly since if there was a mistake there was a scolding and not a correction.
- Were there teaching moments or memorable lessons that significantly impacted you positively or negatively?
I still remember the translation of some texts and negatively I still can't overcome speaking out loud for fear of not pronouncing correctly
My teachers from the English academy.
- What teaching methods did they use? It was with virtual methodology
How did you involve students in the learning process? Carrying out activities in a book and then connecting the class for their respective evaluation.
- Were they strict or soft in terms of discipline and tasks?
They were not strict and there was no requirement to connect to the classes
- Did they encourage creativity and critical thinking?
There was no creativity, they just asked and one answered.

Comparative chart of task 4

My perspective
If I had been the teacher, I would have brought pictures to class and I would have done explained the subject using the pictures.
I would have put practice exercises. If the children had understood the class.
If I had been the teacher, I would have had the children exhibit using new images.
I would have corrected pronunciation, If the children had made a mistake.
I would have evaluated, If I had practiced with the children new exercises.

Essay of task 6

Introduction

An English teacher would be dynamic, strategic, happy, recursive, if is a teacher English musk speak in English all time and apply and strengthen each of the skill (speak, read, write, and listen).

Body Paragraphs

The English teacher must have a certain agility to detect in his students the strengths and weaknesses of each one regardless of the course in which he is teaching English because in this way he can apply a variety of strategies to achieve learning in his students.

The teacher needs to be resourceful since during classes what we have prepared for our class is not always applied and we must know how to act and what strategy to implement to overcome this difficulty.

The teacher needs to be strategic and dynamic; I believe that the teaching and learning of English should not occur in a passive scenario and in a masterful manner, it should be in a practical way and through teacher, students-students and students-teacher interaction, It must be constant movement, many times we learn more visually and acting and mimicry would be essential.

The teacher I remember most taught his class by writing on the board and making explanations in Spanish, later we wrote in the notebook and did an exercise. A teacher must be able to clarify the doubts of his students and make the necessary corrections when there is a mistake.

For example, in the pronunciation we often make mistakes and in the written part applying correct grammar.

A teacher must always prepare his classes in advance, be very clear about the topic to be taught and be able to locate and explain it in different ways since not all students learn in the same way.

The English teacher must be very resourceful and use material to accompany his explanations. You can use the resources you find in your environment, and at the same time the appropriate audiovisual and electronic resources. You should take advantage of technology since it is a very important ally in the teaching-learning process of the English language.

Conclusion

Considering the above, would like to be that ideal teacher, capable of overcoming abstacles and overcoming difficulties using empathy as a fundamental resource in the teaching-learning process of the English language because only then will I be able to understand how Should teach a certain topic, clarifying doubts and strengthening the difficulties that my students face.
